QRC is Quran Research Collaboration app, which provides a simple social networking platform for researchers whose interest is to explore the Holy Quran. It allows them to make and share notes on the verses of the Holy Quran, tag verses by keywords, and leave comments on other people's notes. All this information is shared between the users of the app in real time.
In order to assist the researchers with their work, QRC app provides 5 translations of the Quran by: Hadhrat Khlifatul Messiah the Second Mirza Basheer ud Deen Mahmood Ahmad(ra), also known as Tafseer-e-Sagheer or short commentary of the Holy Quran; Hadhrat Khalifatul Messiah the Fourth Mirza Tahir Ahmad(ra), Moulvi Sher Ali sahib(ra), Sir Ch. Zafarullah Khan sahib(ra) and Pir Salahuddin sahib. Short commentaries of verses are also included where the authors have provided them.
Support for the Commentary of the Promised Messiah(as) is also available. Everyday the app fetches a portion of this commentary depending on for which verses this commentary is made available.
The app allows to search in the Arabic verses, translations, commentaries, notes, keywords and comments in any language and has been throughly tested in English, Urdu and Arabic languages. Similarly users can create notes, keywords and comments in any language which is supported by their iPhones's iOS version.
Special effort is made to render Urdu words and Urdu numerals correctly.
To reach a wider audience who might feel more comfortable using this app in their native languages, this app is made available in English, Urdu and French languages.
